Phase 1:

An inspection of the slab components completed before the concrete for the foundation is poured. Inspection of everything from rebar to drainage to plumbing, making sure all is in its proper place.

Phase 2:
(Framing and Mechanicals)

An inspection of the project completed immediately before the drywall is hung and insulation put in, usually just after the code inspector has done his inspection. A check is done of: exterior walls, roof structure, sheathing, interior partitions, and proper location of room walls and closets, verifying it has been constructed according to standard practices using acceptable materials. Mechanical items checked include wiring, plumbing, and ductwork.

Phase 3:

A full inspection of entire home, typically completed a few days prior to your final walk-through with the builder. To obtain full value from this inspection, the certificate of occupancy should be issued, the permanent power meter installed, and all mechanical systems operated.

Other times you may need an expert eye to verify your contractor's input, or even help work through a communication problem with your builder or remodeler. Call to discuss your situation; this service is typcially priced by the hour.

After a year or more, this situation becomes a significant fire danger...
new construction inspection problems

Below, an excellent example of why some HVAC systems do not function well in new homes. Extra ductwork results in more "bends" than necessary, which decreases air flow and makes the system work harder. Very inefficient and results in higher energy bills and higher HVAC maintenance costs.Excess ductwork in a new home

Uh-oh... You didn't think a new house
