Compliance Issues: If you’ve been notified of a City of Jacksonville Code Compliance issue in regards to a meth lab, HomePro cannot complete your meth lab testing. In Duval and St. Johns counties, properties where drug contamination is found must be certified as clean before they can be occupied again. The certification process includes an evaluation, testing, cleaning by approved contractors (who are typically vetted by the county for their expertise), and more testing after cleanup is completed. Common Signs of Methamphetamine Labs
When a home is used to manufacture meth, or if meth has been frequently used in the home, common signs or indicators include the following and more.

Yellow discoloration of walls, drains, sinks, or showers.

Blue discoloration on propane tank and fire extinguisher valves.

Fire/smoke detectors are removed or taped off.

Physical symptoms such as burning of eyes and throat, itching, breathing difficulties, or a metallic taste in your mouth are experienced while in the home.

Unusually strong odors of solvents, paint thinners, ammonia, or other “metallic” smells.

Odor similar to cat urine or a strong vanilla smell.
